Mobility of silver ions in silver ion conductor Ag7NbS6 studied by Ag and Nb NMR
Article Abstract:
Research was conducted to examine the mobility of silver ions in silver ion conductor Ag7NbS6 studied by Ag and Nb NMR. The temperature dependencies of the 109 chemical shift and the spin-lattice relaxation time of 109Ag, 107Ag and 93Nb NMR were calculated in the room-temperature phase of Ag7NbS6 and related compounds. Results suggest a high affinity between the silver and chalcogenides and correlation among silver ions are indicated by the large chemical shift and by the scalar coupling, respectively.

Dopant substitution and ion migration in the LaGaO3-based oxygen ion conductor
Article Abstract:
The doped LaGaO3 perovskite ion system was examined using computer-modeling techniques. It was previously discovered that the computer simulation techniques provided vital information on the defect and ion-transport properties of the perovskite-structured LaMO3 oxides. It was revealed that the favorable acceptor dopants were Mg2+ at Ga and Sr2+ at La with the favorable solution of these dopants improving oxygen diffusivity. The cation transport of the system showed high vacancy migration energies.
