Nitrogen incorporation in an Al(sub 0.5)Ga(sub 0.5)PO(sub 4) amorphous solid Studied with (super 27)Al and (super 31)P NMR

Article Abstract:

The series of amorphous nitrided galloaluminophosphate 'AlGaPON' catalysts with nitrogen contents varying from 0 to 23.3 wt% were obtained by nitriding Al(sub 0.5)Ga(sub 0.5)PO(sub 4) precursor under ammonia flow at 750 degreeC in a tubular furnace. The results compared by using X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) and X-ray photoelectrons spectroscopy on five samples is described.

Thermally stable amorphous mesoporous aluminophosphates with controllable P/Al ratio: Synthesis, characterization, and catalytic performance for selective O-methylation of catechol

Article Abstract:

Amorphous mesoporous aluminophosphates (AlPO) with different P/Al molar ratios are synthesized by using the citric acid route for obtaining a series of acid-base bifunctional materials. The characterization studies show that the change in P/Al ratio could affect the structure, texture, thermal stability, and surface acid, the base properties of AlPO.

Phenyl-capped EDOT trimer: its chemical and electronic structure and its interface with aluminum

Article Abstract:

The chemical and electronic properties of a phenyl-capped 3,4-(ethylenedioxy)thiophene trimer (EDOT trimer) and its interface formation with aluminum are studied. Aluminum interacts strongly with the phenyl-capped EDOT trimer forming covalent bonds with the site 2 carbons of the thiphene rings.
