Nonlinear wave-packet interferometry and molecular state reconstruction in a vibrating and rotating diatomic molecule

Article Abstract:

A two-color nonlinear wave-packet interferometry (WPI) is formulated for application to a diatomic molecular in the gas phase and it is shown that this form of heterodyne-detected multidimensional electronic spectroscopy would permit the reconstruction of photoinduced rovibrational wave packets from experimental data. With numerically calculated nonlinear WPI signals subject to Guassian noise, the reconstruction of a rovibrational wave packet launched from the A state propagated in E state of Li2 is demonstrated.

High-resolution electron energy loss spectroscopy study of O-Cu(410)

Article Abstract:

The high-resolution electron energy loss spectroscopy technique is employed to study the adsorption of oxygen [O.sub.2] on Cu(410) surface, wherein [O.sub.2] is induced at different surface temperatures and beam energies. The analysis reveals that the adsorption configurations of oxygen highly depend on the impact energy and the angle of incidence, as backfilling and high crystal temperature lead to the formation of several oxide patches.

Orderly growth of copper phthalocyanine on highly oriented pyrolytic graphite (HOPG) at high substrate temperatures

Article Abstract:

The adsorption behavior and crystallographic structure of copper phthalocyanine (CuPc) on highly oriented pyrolytic graphite (HOPG) at high substrate temperatures is described. Vibrational and structural results suggested that CuPc molecules formed a close-packed structure on the substrate with a face-to-face columnar growth that maintained the lying-flat orientation throughout the growth process.
