Overall water spitting on (Ga(sub 1-x))Zn(sub x))(N(sub 1-x))O(sub x)) solid solution photocatalyst: relationship between physical properties and photocatalytic activity

Article Abstract:

The physical and photocatalytic properties of a novel solid solution between GaN and ZnO, (Ga(sub 1-x) Zn(sub x))(N(sub 1-x))O(sub x)) are investigated. The crystallinity of the catalyst is also found to increase with increasing the ratio of ZnO to Ga(sub 2)O(sub 3) in the starting material, resulting in an increase in activity.

In situ preparation of oxide-based supported catalysts by solution combustion synthesis

Article Abstract:

The oxide-based supported catalysts with high specific area were produced in one step through combination of the impregnation and solution combustion synthesis approaches. The study formulated the fundamental basis on the so-called combustion-impregnation approach for synthesis of high-surface area supported catalysts.
