Photoswitchable antigen-antibody interactions studied by impedance spectroscopy
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze transduce electronically light-induced changes in a photoisomerizable dinitrospiropyran monolayer associated with an electrode using impedance spectroscopy. Gold-disk electrodes embedded into Teflon holders were polished with silicon carbide P4000 grinding paper. The electrodes were then rinsed twice using an ultrasonic bath. Results indicated that the monolayer supported photo-switchable antigen characteristics for the dinitrophenyl antibody.

Relaxation times of an electrolytic cell subject to an external electric field: role of ambipolar and free diffusion phenomena
Article Abstract:
The relaxation times are evaluated for an electrolytic cell subject to a step-like external voltage, where the mobility of negative ions is different from that of positive ions. The relaxation processes connected with the ambipolar and free diffusion phenomena have described the dynamics of the system, when the diffusion coefficients are of the same order of magnitude.

Impedance spectroscopy of water solutions: The role of ions at the liquid-electrode interface
Article Abstract:
A model is proposed to investigate the influence of the ions on the impedance spectroscopy of a liquid. The influence of ions on the impedance of a cell submitted to a periodic external voltage of low amplitude at the liquid-electrode interface is analyzed.
