Polymerization-induced viscoelastic phase separation in polyethersulfone-modified epoxy systems

Article Abstract:

Polymerization-induced phase-separation process of polyethersulfone modified epoxy systems was monitored in situ continuously on a single sample throughout the entire curing process by using optical microscopes, time resolved light scattering, scanning electronic microscopes and a rheometry instrument. Light scattering results monitoring the phase separation process of systems with final phase inversion morphology show a typical exponential decay.

Conducting polymers containing in-chain metal centers: homogeneous charge transport through a quaterthienyl-bridged {Os(tpy)(sub 2)} polymer

Article Abstract:

The electron transport in electrochemically polymerized films of bithienyl-substituted {Os(tpy)2} complex is studied. The effect of bridge conjugation and the relatively close proximity in energy of the redox center and bridge states is also discussed.

Microscopy and spectroscopy of interactions between metallopolymers and carbon nanotubes

Article Abstract:

The interaction between redox polymers, based on Ru-or Os-bis(2,2'-bipyridyl)-poly(4-vinylpyridine), and carbon nanotubes was investigated by spectroscopic techniques. The results obtained show that well-coated individual nanotubes can be obtained.
