Reversible formation of glassy water in slowly cooling diluted drops
Article Abstract:
Experimental results obtained with a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) are presented which indicates that the low-density amorphous ice (LDA) is reversibly produced in diluted H2S[O.sub.4]/[H.sub.2]O drops subjected to a cooling rate of ~[10.sup.8]-fold smaller than that used before. The finding is consistent with the hypothesized extension of normal liquid and glassy states of water.

Conformational orientation of syndiotactic polypropylene induced by deformation at different temperatures
Article Abstract:
Two syndiotactic polypropylene (sPP) sample films with different initial structures are prepared by isothermal crystallization at different temperatures. The stretching temperature and initial structure have great impact on the conformation transition and orientation behavior of the sPP sample.
