Size dependence of protein diffusion very close to membrane surface: Measurement by total internal reflection with fluorescence correlation spectroscopy
Article Abstract:
Total internal reflection with fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (TIR-FCS) is used to measure the diffusion coefficients of nine fluorescently labeled antibodies, antibody fragments and antibody complexes. The results have shown that the local diffusion coefficient decreases with the hydrodynamic radius and in a manner consistent with theoretical predictions according to hydrodynamic theories describing particle motions next to walls.

Anomalous fluctuations in sliding motion of cytoskeletal filaments driven by molecular motors: model simulations
Article Abstract:
A detailed study of the fluctuations of cytoskeletal filament motion was carried out using Sekimoto and Tawada model, the Prost model and the Duke model. The results suggest that the experimental observations of a length-independent diffusion coefficient require a mechanism that makes both the amplitude and the time scale of the velocity correlation function independent of L.
