Structure and chirality of the nematic phase in alpha-chitin suspensions
Article Abstract:
The structure of chiral nematic phases formed by colloidal suspensions of alpha-chitin rodlike particles in aqueous media is investigated. The structure of chitin colloidal dispersions and the chiral properties of the nematic phase are described.

Search of nature of planar chirality for pendent benzodiazacoronands in the solid state: NMR, X-ray, and DFT studies
Article Abstract:
The structural studies on the solid state of two benzodiazacoronads that form chiral and achiral crystals are reported. The study has found that water molecule is an important achiral cofactor responsible for chiral crystallization.
