The enhanced edge
Article Abstract:
The majority of the agricultural dealerships in the US have begun selling enhanced seed in the light of its increased adoption by farmland. According to a joint survey conducted by Farm Chemicals magazine and Purdue University's Center for Agricultural Business, 83% of the seed dealerships studied sold some form of enhanced seed in 1997. The number is expected to increase to 85% by 2000. A little over half of the dealers surveyed also estimated that less than 20% of the farmland acres they provided service to were using enhanced seed.
