US: SLOW GROWTH SEEN IN ADHESIVES MARKET
Article Abstract:
A study by The Freedonia Group predicts the US' consumption adhesives to grow at an annual rate of 2.6% to 15.1bn lb by year 2003, compared with a 3.1% annual growth in the 1993-98 period. This reflects the anticipated slackening of the US economy. The sales of general-purpose adhesives are predicted to grow 2.6% (3%) annually to just under 9.1bn lb. As prices are forecast to grow by about 2% annually, the value of the adhesives market is likely to grow 4.7% (5.8%) per year and reach US$ 10.2bn in 2003.
