US: THIRD QUARTER LOSSES FOR DADE BEHRING

Article Abstract:

The US diagnostic medicine group, Dade Behring, held 51.8% by Aventis Pharma and which the Franco-German group intends to sell, is preparing to allocate US$ 30-40mn in provisions to cover restructure cost in relation to the reduction in employees. Dade made a net loss of US$ 30.4mn in the third quarter of 2000, and registered US$ 292mn in turnover, down 7% compared to a year earlier.
