Vibrational coherence in photosynthetic reaction centers observed in the bacteriochlorophyll anion band
Article Abstract:
The oscillatory features of absorption processes provide insights into the primary electron transfer in photosynthetic reaction centers. Experiments were conducted to document the oscillatory components of absorption reactions in the Rhodobacter sphaeroides. A femtosecond time resolution with a spectral range of 920-1100 nanometer was performed. The findings demonstrate that the vibrational wave packet motion did not influence changes in electron transfer in the absorption region of the accessory bacteriochlorophyll anion B (sub A)-.

Effects of electron transfer between TiO2 films and conducting substrates on the photocatalytic oxidation of organic pollutants
Article Abstract:
Transparent TiO2 films coated on an Al alloy and an indium-tin oxide-covered glass (ITO/glass) is prepared and the photocatalytic performances of these films are examined by degradation of oleic acid and C2H4 under ultraviolet (UV) irradiation. The roles of the substrates in the photocatalytic reactions are explored and two models about the electron transfer between conducting substrate and TiO2 films are proposed for the distinct photoactivities of these films.
