Visible light driven V-doped TiO2 photocatalyst and its photo oxidation of ethanol

Article Abstract:

A simple photocatalyst preparation method for doping TiO2 with vanadium (V)(super 4+) sites, which are capable of extending the wavelength range of the catalyst into the visible region, is reported. It is believed that excited vanadium centers donate an electron to the TiO2 conduction band, which allows the oxidation of surface adsorbed molecules and the activity of the TiO2/V/PVG photocatalyst increases under visible irradiation.

Ethanol glass dynamics: logarithmic line broadening and optically induced dephasing

Article Abstract:

The time and fluence dependence of the homogeneous line width of Zn-porphin in deuterated ethanol glass at 1.8K is measured by stimulated photon echo. The observed spectral dynamics is interpreted in terms of the standard two-level system model and by using a commonly used modified version of it.

Solvatochromic probe behavior within ternary room-temperature ionic liquid 1-Butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate + ethanol + water Solutions

Article Abstract:

The solvatochromic probe behavior within ternary BMIMPF6 + ethanol + water systems are investigated using four solvatochromic probes. Deviations between experimental data and predicted additive behavior of the probes are observed.
