Asymmetric synthesis of isoquinoline alkaloids
Article Abstract:
The traditional and modern methods of asymmetric synthesis of isoquinoline alkaloids are explained. It is shown that recent methods of the asymmetric synthesis of isoquinoline alkaloids are based generally on two synthetic strategies: the stereochemical modification of the traditional, classical methods and introduction of nucleophilic or electropholic carbon units into the C-1 position of isoquinoline derivatives.

Preparations of C-Nitroso compounds
Article Abstract:
The preparation methods of C-Nitroso compounds are given, which aims at explaining the various methods used, their reactions and uses. The fundamental chemistry of C-nitroso compounds under conditions that either stabilize the C-nitroso functionality or enhance their reactivity toward isomerization or reactivity with substrates are reported.

Organic reactions in aqueous media with a focus on carbon-carbon bond formations: A decade update
Article Abstract:
Carbon-carbon bond formation is the essence of organic synthesis and provides the foundation for generating more complicated organic compounds from simpler ones. The progress of developing carbon-carbon bond formations in aqueous media for synthetic purposes within the past decade, mostly prior to 2004, is updated.
