Average energy approximations for anisotropic triple-dipole dispersion energy coefficients using three-body interactions involving O2, NO, CO, N2, H2, and the rare gases as tests
Article Abstract:
Calculation of average energy approximations for anisotropic triple-dipole dispersion energy coefficients of two- and three-body interactions of oxygen, nitrogen oxide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen, helium, and rare gases produces 120 unique two-body C(sub 6), gamma, and delta coefficients from 55 interactions, and 680 three-body C(sub 9) and gamma coefficients from 220 interactions.

Time-resolved structures of electrical discharges in gases: experiment and stochastic model
Article Abstract:
A fast optical imaging system with approximately 40 nanoseconds of exposure time shows time-resolved discharge patterns generated by He, air, and SF6 during gaseous dielectric breakdown that are consistent with their known dielectric strength. Electrical discharges in air are an efficient method of decomposing volatile organic compounds.

The uptake of acidic gases on ice
Article Abstract:
Experimental and theoretical work on the nonreactive uptake of acidic range gases such as HCL, HNO3, HBr, HONO, and SO2 on ice is reviewed. The avialable data on total trace gas uptake, solubility, and diffusivity on or in ice scatter widely and show inconsistencies, despite significant scientific efforts.
