Single-Molecule fluorescence studies of protein folding and conformational dynamics
Article Abstract:
Some examples are provided on how to extract dynamic information from single molecules, namely, distance distributions within conformational subpopulations of proteins in the framework of protein folding and in enzymes. Studies of protein folding dynamics under nonequilibrium conditions are also addressed.

Dynamical contribution to enzyme catalysis: Critical tests of a popular hypothesis
Article Abstract:
Many investigators have asked whether 'dynamical effects' play a significant role in enzyme catalysis. Combined quantum mechanical/molecular mechanics (QM/MM) methods provide a generic way of obtaining potential surfaces and activation free energies of chemical processes in enzymes.
