Chiral salen complexes: An overview to recoverable and reusable homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts
Article Abstract:
The methodologies for recovering and reuse of chiral salen ligands, which are considered to be the most important catalyst s for asymmetric synthesis, are discussed. It is shown that any catalytic process using chiral salen-metal complexes should take into account and deal with the recovery and reuse of the catalyst and that there is already a wide range of options going from homogeneous to heterogeneous for doing this.
