Computational methods for the analysis of chemical sensor array data from volatile analytes
Article Abstract:
This review discusses a computer based methodology for qualitative and quantitative analysis of the data obtained from the cross-reactive chemical sensor arrays employed to analyze volatile analytes. The raw data are preprocessed and normalized before subjecting them to computational analyses of linear discriminant, principal component, partial least squares, and clusters.

Acoustic wave microsensor arrays for vapor sensing
Article Abstract:
Sensor array technology has advantages over the conventional chemical sensor technology in that the former offers enhanced selectivity in the detection and recognition of analytes coupled with simultaneous multicomponent analysis. This review focuses on the use of acoustic wave sensor arrays that employ polymer coated sensor arrays for gaseous phase chemical sensing.

Cross-reactive chemical sensor arrays
Article Abstract:
Developments in the chemical sensor technology field have paved a way for a new emerging technique, the chemical sensor arrays, which yield responses to different analytes simultaneously. This review discusses different types of sensors in this class including metal oxide and electrochemical devices, polymer-based systems, and acoustic wave oscilltors.
