Crystal structures of highly stabilized ylides: methyl(3-methoxy,2-methoxycarbonylbenzoyl)triphenylphosphoranylideneacetate and methyl(2-methoxycarbonyl,6-nitrobenzoyl)triphenylphosphoranylideneacetate and the salt methyl(triphenylphosphoranylidene)acetate tetrafluoroborate
Article Abstract:
Crystal structures of highly stabilized ylides have been studied in methyl(3-methoxy,2-methoxycarbonylbenzoyl)triphenylphosphoranylideneacetate, methyl(2-methoxycarbonyl,6-nitrobenzoyl)triphenylphosphoranylideneacetate and methyl(triphenylphosphoranylidene)acetate tetrafluoroborate, the salt. Identification of some acyclic intermediates was necessary for tracing the mechanisms of transformations. It had been found that ratios of regioisomeric acyclic keto phosphoranes seen during reactions were considerably different from ratios of regioisomeric enol lactones found at the end in reactions of stabilized ylides with 3-methoxy and 3-nitrophthalic anhydrides. The P--c(1) bond appears to be a multiple one.

Ternary cobalt germanium pnictides CoGe(sub.x)Pn(sub.1-x)(Pn = P, As, Sb) and the structure of Co(sub.3)Ge(sub.2)Sb, an intermetallic compound with stuffed Sb(sub.2) pairs
Article Abstract:
Ternary cobalt germanium pnictides CoGe(sub.x)Pn(sub.1-x) (Pn = P, As, Sb), where 0 < x < 1, have been studied. The structure of an intermetallic compound with stuffed Sb(sub.2) pairs, Co(sub.3)Ge(sub.2)Sb has been investigated. It has alternating kagome nets of Co atoms and 6 to the third nets of Ge atoms with Sb(sub.2) pairs stuffed along the centers of the concentric hexagons of the nets. Co(sub.3)Ge(sub.2)Sb can be seen as an intermediate structure distorted from the limiting CaCu(sub.5) and CoSn structures.
