Single-molecule trajectories in free solution have been observed due to instrumental advances. Experiments have enabled scientists to get more insight into the bulk chromatographic process and separation modes for particles and large molecules.

Heat capacity in proteins
Article Abstract:
One of several major thermodynamic quantities commonly measured in proteins is heat capacity. Protein unfolding usually has a positive heat capacity, producing a maximum in stability and sometimes cold denaturation.

Neutron reflection from liquid interfaces

The study of wet, interfaces using recent application of neutron reflectrometry is discussed. Basic principles that allow techniques to determine the structure and composition in different situations are outlined.
