Hydrido complexes of palladium

Article Abstract:

A survey of literature published between 1958 and the present concerning the preparation, characterization, stability and reactivity of mononuclear and polynuclear palladium hydrides is presented. The review, which shows that much remains to be studied about the chemistry of palladium hydrides, highlights the progress made in synthetic and analytical methods since the discovery of (Et3P)2Pd(H)Cl in 1965.

Dynamics of electronic transfer processes at metal/insulator interfaces

Article Abstract:

The image-potential states on rare-gas covered metal surfaces are proven to be an ideal model system for the study of electron dynamics at metal/insulator interfaces using two-photon photoemission. The extensive experimental work shows that their binding energies and lifetimes for inelastic decay are most essentially governed by the electron affinity and the dielectric constant of the rare-gas layer.
