Microwave-assisted synthesis in water as solvent
Article Abstract:
Review is presented on the microwave-assisted organic synthesis using water as solvent ranging from ambient temperatures to chemistry performed in near critical water at 300 degree Celsius and 80 bar pressure. Some examples are discussed that deal mainly with synthetic organic chemistry ranging back to the late 1980s when the first examples of microwave-assisted organic synthesis were published.

Photocatalysis for the formation of the C-C bond
Article Abstract:
Study is presented to review the potential that photocatalysis has for the development of 'green' methods for the formation of the C-C bond. A green method, according to the well-known principles, must reduce or eliminate the use of generation of hazardous substances.
