Organometallic diazo compounds
Article Abstract:
A review of the literature on transition-metal organometallic compounds with an M-N-N structure is presented. The discussion is limited to the diazo ligands, namely: diazenide, diazene, hydrazide(1-) and (2-) and hydrazine. It is shown that molecular structures, electronic configurations, hapticities and degrees of multiple bond formation of the different diazo ligands vary widely. It is suggested that the transformation of these ligands can be effectively studied by spectroscopic methods.

Emergence of a CNH and cyano complex based organometallic chemistry
Article Abstract:
The current state of and future prospects of researches on CNH and cyano complexes are presented. The radical alkylation of cyano ligands, hydroisocyanations with CNH complexes, diverse cycloadditions to the CN ligand and CN cleavage processes are discussed comprhensively. It is concluded that CN and appropriate metal complex fragments form a significant reagent on which an extensive organometallic chemistry can be based.

Ion pairing in transition-metal organometallic chemistry
Article Abstract:
Ion pairs are defined as pairs of oppositely charged ions, with a common solvation shell, held together prevalently by Coulombic forces with lifetimes sufficiently longer than the correlation time of Brownian motion and a binding energy higher than thermodynamic stability. It is concluded that ion pairing affects several chemical reactions mediated by ionic transition-metal organometallic compounds.
