Organometallic fluorides: compounds containing carbon-metal-fluorine fragments of d-block metals
Article Abstract:
Organometallic fluorides, containing metal atoms bonded with both fluorine and carbon, are useful in catalytic and synthetic chemistry. Despite the presence of strong metal-fluorine bonds, organometallic fluorides can be highly reactive. Organometallic fluorides are used in the production of transition metal complexes with open coordination sites, promoting catalytic reactions. Organometallic fluorides with weakly coordinating anions are useful in the development of chiral Lewis acids.

Organometallic hydroxides of transition elements
Article Abstract:
The synthetic procedures and structural characterizations of environmentally friendly organometallic hydroxides are reviewed. It is observed that hydroxo complexes of transition metals are postulated as critical intermediates in a number of catalytic reactions involving water as a substrate.
