Progress in 1,2,3,4-tetrazine chemistry
Article Abstract:
The derivatives of 1,2,3,4-terazine, including tetrazines annulated through the C5-C6 bond and including partly reduced systems are reviewed. The study shows that benzotetrazine 1,3-dioxides (BTDOs) showed biological activities, probably due to their ability to release nitrosating species in the course of reduction and are considered as a new class of nitric oxide donors.

Pentathiepins
Article Abstract:
The combined reviews in Comprehensive Heterocyclic Chemistry that covers the literature up to late 2003 and Chemical Abstracts up to Vol. 136 are reviewed. The review shows that the pentathiepins are usually the most stabel of C2Sn rings, being the thermodynamic products of many of the cyclization reactions described.
