Radiometal-labeled agents (non-technetium) for diagnostic imaging
Article Abstract:
Although technetium is the most commonly used radiopharmaceutical for diagnostic purposes, researchers continue to develop other radiometal isotopes that can be used with gamma scintigraphy or PET scanning. These compounds can be used for diagnosing heart disease, brain disease and cancer.

(super 99m)Tc-labeled small peptides as diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals
Article Abstract:
Researchers continue to develop target-specific radiopharmaceuticals. Most often, the target is a cell receptor, so radiolabelled peptides must be constructed that bind to the receptor. Research on (super 99m)technetium-labelled peptides is discussed.

Potential technetium small molecule radiopharmaceuticals
Article Abstract:
Researchers continue to develop the perfect technetium-based radiopharmaceutical. Technetium-99m is used in 85% of all diagnostic scans done in hospitals.
