Ratiometric single-molecule studies of freely diffusing biomolecules
Article Abstract:
This review examines the behavior of freely diffusing biomolecules in solution at single-molecular level using ratiometric fluorescence resonance energy transfer and confocal microscopy techniques. Application of the methodology to investigate protein folding and polymer physics, as revealed by bursts of photons of florescent biomolecules, is discussed.

Light-emitting electrochemical processes
Article Abstract:
This review discusses spectroscopic probing of the molecular aspects of homogeneous and heterogeneous electron transfer in electrochemical processes emitting light. Application of electrochemical processes to the solution redox reactions, ion- and electron conducting polymer hybrids, and to insulating polymers and thin films are presented.
