Cyclotrisilanes
Article Abstract:
Information on the properties and formation of stable cyclotrisilanes is reviewed. For most cyclotrisilanes, various courses of photochemically and thermally induced ring cleavage reactions, in the presence of a suitable reaction partner, provide paths to trisiletanes and disiliranes. Furthermore, certain photolysis-produced silylenes and disilenes undergo reactions that lead to additional heterocyclic systems.

Silsesquioxanes
Article Abstract:
A critical review of the properties, structures and preparation of silsesquioxanes is presented. A phenyl group generally possessing high thermal stability is the substituent on polyphenylsilsesquioxane's silicon atom. Polymethylsilsesquioxane's initial thermal decomposition temperature is below that of polyphenylsilsesquioxane. Polymethylsilsesquioxane pyrolysis results in low weight loss, however.
