Chemistry of the carba-closo-dodecaborate(-) anion, C[B.sub.11][H.sub.12]-
Article Abstract:
The three-dimensional deltahedral shapes of boron and carborane closo clusters that are closed polyhedra with triangular faces possessing especially high thermal and chemical stability are described. The interaction of carborates with biomolecules by formation of dihydrogen bonds could be applied to design new carborate-containing drugs and medicine to cure cancer.

Aromatic molecular-bowl hydrocarbons: Synthetic derivatives, their structures, and physical properties
Article Abstract:
The synthetic methods and physical properties of molecule bowls based on the corannulene motif which was first characterized bowl-shaped polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) is presented. The molecule stacking and alignment of the bowl-shaped aromatic compounds in the solid state affect the dipoles and electronic properties.
