This article is the conclusion of a five part series on office automation by the Japan Business Machine Makers Association (JBMA). The products evaluated consist of the following: typewriters, convenient duplicators, time recorders, miscellaneous office equipment, such as accounting machines, graph plotters, office and personal computers, and communications systems. The products are reviewed according to their technological and engineering developments and marketing outlook. Various tables and graphs are used to illustrate trends.
