Article Abstract:
Hewlett-Packard (HP) introduced two enhanced personal computers (PCs), the Touchscreen PC ($3,495) and the Touchscreen MAX ($5,495). Both computers allow users to share information and printers with the IBM PCs and compatibles through a local area network (LAN) from 3Com Corp. Included with the HP PCs are the 9122D 3.5 inch disk drive unit. The Touchscreen MAX has in addition the 9133D 15 MB Winchester drive and will support the 9134D, a 15 MB stand-alone Winchester disk drive. The LAN capability allows a maximum of fifty networked IBM PCs and Touchscreen computers to share peripherals. A photograph of one of the computers is included.
