Canon expands digital camera family, powers up image quality

Canon Inc's digital cameras, the PowerShot A5, PowerShot A5 Zoo and PowerShot Pro70, are developed based on the versatility of the latest digital cameras and the advantages of film-based models. Featuring Mode Dial and 2-in LCD display, the PowerShot A5 model delivers clear XGA images in resolutions with 1024 X 768dpi. The PowerShot A5 Zoom features a low-distortion, f/2.6-4.0 lens and a zoom lens, while the PowerShot Pro70 digital camera has the functions of a typical single lens reflex camera.

VAIO notebook PCs incorporate Windows98, IEEE1394 ports

Article Abstract:

Sony Corp's four VAIO series notebook computers, namely, PCG-737/A4G, PCG733/A, B5 PCG-505GX/4G and A4 PCG-803, boast preinstalled Windows 98. The PCG-505GX/4G, which adopts a 10.4-in SVGA-compatible LCD, incorporates an iLink (IEEE1394) terminal and a 4.3GB hard disc. In addition, the products features a 64MB synchronous DRAM, a 56Kbps modem and a 266MHz Pentium MMX procesor.
