How to Deal with 'Technostress'
Article Abstract:
Technostress is the failure of individuals or organizations to adjust to new technology. Fear begins with the threat of being replaced by a machine. Symptoms of technostress can be high error rates and long periods of learning. The cost of capital expenditure needed to implement new technology is increased by resistance to automated systems. To manage technostress it is necessary to organize the implementation prior to installation. A listing of steps to assist in preventing technostress is provided.
