Article Abstract:
A boom in sales of office equipment is seen for 1984. Due to the most archaic and inefficient office equipment in British industry offices, it is time for new equipment. Companies are beginning to realize the need for new equipment to increase productivity. Use of high technology equipment can improve space utilization as well.

A new business center has been opened as part of a two and a half million pound refurbishment program. Sophisticated services will be available in addition to conference and meeting rooms for business people. These services include shorthand, typing, word processing, and mailing. Recreational facilities will be added in 1984.

Educational software is about ten to thirty per cent of software sales. Sales were in the two to ten per cent range. Sales are expected to increase as more schools acquire computers. Sales and packages from various computer stores are discussed.
