The commissioner of information systems for the State of Kentucky has installed Xerox 8010 professional workstations that have the capability to write, store, and retrieve text, plan budgets, and organize data with graphic display. The system is connected to a forty-three trillion-byte data base by a Xerox Ethernet local area network. The 8010 system has streamlined administrative tasks and improved the quality of work.
