Sharp Electronics Corp's portable Notevision7 compact LCD projector, which weighs below 2.72kg and measures 58.52mm in thickness, delivers 800 ANSI lumens, while its Notevision6 model delivers 2,200 ANSI lumens. Equipped with Sharp's PresenterPak, both equipment also employ the company's IrCOM technology that allows the wireless operation of the machines from a notebook computer, a laptop computer or any other compatible system.

As pixel counts reach 2 million, camera makers shift to focus on functions

Digital cameras have breached the 2-million-pixel barrier, which perhaps represents the limit of the technology, says Yoshikazu Aoki, general manager at FujiPhoto Film Co Ltd's marketing division. The race now turns to the development and production of value-added products, adds Aoki. Sales of digital cameras soared 68% to 70% in 1998 to 1.7 million units compared to the previous year.
