Watch out - Siebel has 20-20 vision

Siebel Systems has purchased the 20-20 Group, a provider of IT training, for an undisclosed sum. Siebel Systems' purchase of the 20-20 Group will not only benefit the enterprise applications vendor financially but will also enable it to better response to customer needs. According to a spokesperson for Siebel Systems, the company plans to develop the 20-20 Group as a long-term solution for its customers as it expands its training services.

GWI Software introduced in Jan 1999 its GWI Collaborative Front Office aimed at small- to medium-sized business market. The GWI Front Office Suite is composed of a set of applications that automate information technology support, customer service, knowledge management, asset management and self-service for two Lotus Notes platform. According to GWI Software CEO and Pres Daren Nelson, the suite 'is as functional as anything in the market.'

Remote management is taking off at Peregrine

Peregrine Systems Inc has released its Remote Management infrastructure management software for diagnosing and fixing desktop hardware and software problems. The tool allows help desk technicians, asset managers and network administrators to control the keyboard and mouse of remote computers from their own workstations. The software is compatible with a variety of operating environments and communications protocols.
