A tool to build sales: capable technicians
Article Abstract:
Ever-emerging advances in marine engines require highly qualified service technicians. Boating industry companies are struggling to recruit and retain qualified marine technicians. Thus, the Assn of Maritime Technicians (AMTECH) was created in Jan 1999 to serve as a liaison between marine engine makers and the people who service their increasingly sophisticated products. AMTECH's ultimate objective is to create first- rate technical support for these engines. Its programs and seminars have become accepted for use in the Marine Industry Certification program.
