Acxiom/DMI debuts Business SmartBase

Article Abstract:

Acxiom/Direct Media recently launched Business SmartBase, a cooperative membership business database, and a new tool to its Solvitur database marketing product line called Engage. Debuting in the firm's 23rd Annual Business Mailer's Co-op Conference and High-Tech Marketing Symposium in New York, Business SmartBase will be built after consumer co-op databases used by catalogers and publishers. The database will provide members with ways to generate high-performing names at low costs relative to individual list rental. Meanwhile, the database marketing tool Engage enables mailers to examine a prospecting database at their desktop to produce list counts with selections and segmentations.

Pricewaterhouse, Acxiom join forces

Article Abstract:

Little rock, AR-based Acxiom Corp and the Global Risk Management Services Div of PricewaterhouseCoopers have entered into a partnership to help financial institutions meet the tight deadline for complying with the mandatory privacy regulations in the Gram-Leach-Billey Act. The deal calls for the Pricewaterhouse division to conduct an asessment of an institution's consumer privacy compliance needs. Both Pricewaterhouse and Acxiom then would work on implementation.

USAData.com Acxiom in list-acess pact

Article Abstract:

New York, NY-based USAData.com has entered in a five-year alliance with Little Rock, AR-based Acxiom Corp that will allow USAData.com to develop Internet applications giving marketing professionals access to the Axciom Data Network. Acxiom's InfoBase contains data on more than 12 million businesses, 90 million households and 150 million individuals.
