Article Abstract:
The 244 mt tower constructed as part of the Canary Wharf development in the Docklands area of London, England, was originally the subject of considerable criticism. However, it is now almost full of tenants. The Canary Wharf development as a whole consists of 10 buildings, and further buildings are planned. The pace of development is being accelerated to derive maximum benefit from the opening of the Jubilee Line Extension to the London Underground system, with this transport network being regarded as vital to the success of Canary Wharf.

Article Abstract:
There are a number of notable projects underway or planned in the Docklands area of London, England. In the Royal Docks, the first 1,000 flats and houses in the initial phase of West Silvertown Urban Village are occupied. Three additions to Canary Wharf on the Isle of Dogs are under construction, and five hotels are planned. However, some developers are still being rather cautious. Tarmac, for example, is not yet going ahead with a new building at Heron Quays, even though it has planning permission.
