Belle tower
Article Abstract:
Millennium Designs has speculatively developed an unusual two-bedroomed detached house on the outskirts of Knaresborough, England. The house has been designed to blend in with its hilltop location, and partly resembles a castle. It has medieval-style stone walls, a round tower, glazing in part of the north-facing elevation and gothic arched doors. It is currently being marketed, with Millennium Designs seeking offers of more than 150,000 pounds sterling.

Home and away
Article Abstract:
The procurement activities of housing associations will be the subject of an Audit Commission review document in May 1996. However, the growing trend for housing associations to use design-and-build contracts is worrying many in the construction industry, who feel that the cost-savings of clients has been achieved at the expense of the industry.
