Boating may have its own J.D. Power satisfaction index
Article Abstract:
JD Power and Assoc plans to start its own consumer satisfaction index for the recreational marine industry. The proposed satisfaction index could be an excellent marketing tool for the industry's top powers while JD Power could sell detailed survey results to manufacturers for in-house use. Moreover, the National Marine Manufacturers Assn (NMMA) has been urging the company to conduct boating customer satisfaction research. NMMA Acting Pres Ham Hamberger said Power's across-industry survey would be a good supplement to consumer data that boating manufacturers collect about their products.
