Article Abstract:
Olympia and York, the company responsible for the Canary Wharf development in the Docklands area of London, England, undertook the work through a series of joint ventures between North American and UK engineering consultancies and contractors. Project manager was US concern Lehrer McGovern International. Olympia and York took a very cautious approach to building services, and this meant that there was very little innovation. However, it was prepared to be very ambitious in relation to the design of the information technology infrastructure.

Article Abstract:
Housebuilder Berkeley Homes is reorganizing its top management under the direction of its new managing director, the son of Tony Pidgley. New marketing and sales directors and regional managing directors have been recruited in order to facilitate change within the company, which Pidgley says had a 'them and us' culture. The new team is being encouraged to accelerate Berkeley's processes and products and to transform the company into a concept developer.
