DFS offers dealers better Web services

Deutsche Financial Services (DFS) has formed an alliance with Juno Online Services for the provision of Juno's premium dial-up and ExpressSM high- speed Internet services to DFS customers, including marine and water sports dealers. Juno will customize its services to enhance dealers' use of dfsConnectSM, DFS online tool that allows customers to submit credit applications, check credit status and submit payments. Juno has 14.2 million registered subscribers, and had 4 million active subscribers in Dec 2000.

No sterndrive deal yet between Ford, Yamaha
Article Abstract:
Ford Motor Co announced on Jan 12, 2001 that it has not agreed to a joint venture with Yamaha Motor Co Ltd to build sterndrive engines, and indicated no such agreement is imminent. For its part, Yamaha said the two firms have held talks but have not signed a formal agreement. Yamaha, which is Japan's top boat and engine maker, has outboard engine line that is one of the top sellers in the US marine market and the company also makes sport boats and personal watercraft.

Sea Tow Services International

Southold, NY-based Sea Tow International Services has partnered with Annapolis, MD-based Nauticard to market a discount program for boaters that will provide them savings on towing and other on-water assistance. Under the terms of the agreement, Sea Tow and Nauticard will market a joint membership for $115, which represents a $15 discount off the normal combined prices.
