DOE shakes up research funding
Article Abstract:
The UK DOE is to focus its construction research budget on areas which it regards as being of most importance to the construction industry. This means that companies applying for research funding will be obliged to focus projects on specific areas which have been determined by the government. Of the construction research budget of more than 25 million pounds sterling a year, 9 million pounds sterling will go to technology and performance, with safety and health receiving 6.3 million pounds sterling and process 3.2 million pounds sterling.
