DigitalConvergence wants consumers cued in to its technology

DigitalConvergence.com is unveiling a print-to-Web technology in fall 2000. Called CRQ, the proprietary technology embeds a printed cue, or barcode onto a printed ppage. CueCat, a device which connects into a computer keyboard, the takes the user to a corresponding Web site after it reads the barcode. DigitalConvergence has not yet determined how it will charge companies which will be using its technology.
