E-mail cartoons deliver for less
Article Abstract:
Interactive Features Syndicate, a Seattle, WA-based agency, is currently testing an e-mail registration system that could become a breakthrough in direct response procedures. The agency can send offers as cartoons in an HTML form that transforms e-mail into a Web page that can be personalized and passed along from one recipient to another. With its branded registration system, e-mail becomes viable and avoids the cost of opt-in lists. The agency hopes to charge advertisers $80 per thousand names for branded name delivery, with the price about what it would cost to rent a direct mail list.
