Treasury faces unique PFI rent deal
Article Abstract:
The UK government could be requested by companies bidding for work on the 200 million pounds sterling redevelopment of the Treasury's headquarters building to lease back a third of the building. The rent and charges for facilities management of the building could be linked to the retail price index. This would be the first time that this system has been used in a large project involving the government.
