Grassroots perspective: Ohio
Article Abstract:
The legislation to establish an Ohio Manufactured Homes Commission made by Ohio Manufactured Housing Association (OMHA) to implement a state-based installation and dispute resolution program was passed in the Ohio Senate inspite of objection and opposition efforts by various departments and associations. OMHA was concerned that Ohio Department of Health (ODH) could develop more stringent and separate standards for factory built home communities, which would be more costly for residents.
